The latest trend in kids clothes has your teenager attending high school in pajamas. I’m not talking about pajama day. We all remember how in nursery or even in kindergarten, our children wore their most comfortable sleepwear to school for an all-day reading session or fund raiser. It’s not even a rolling-out-of-bed and off to class maneuver. I’m talking about taking 45 minutes to get dressed for school wearing pajamas, camisole tops and slippers. Slippers?? Even if your child wears uniforms to school you might not be immune. What trendy clothes will they wearing after school and on weekends?
Granted, long gone are the days when wearing gloves and hats were de rigueur before stepping outside the house. I understand that as a society we have moved towards more relaxed attire but have we reached a point of no return? Perhaps some parents consider the outfits acceptable because the clothes are not too short? Could it be the influence of celebrities like Kim Kardashion, Britney Spears and Miley Cyrus. These are hardly individuals to emulate as role models. I raise the issue because what message are we sending our children? That school is not to be taken seriously? That it’s okay to fall asleep in class? What will this evolve to, once they’re in college and late for class?
Even the retailers Abercrombie & Fitch, Aeropostal, Old Navy and Pink know they’re walking a fine line. They recognize the limited market potential for garments described as pajamas or sleepwear. Instead the items are called loungewear and deemed trendy. Brilliant!! However, as The Bard of Avon once wrote: “A rose by any other name.” Perhaps it’s time for parents to draw the line and just say no.

Thanks for the update.
A good sports clothing outfit requires many different elements. Firstly you have to think about what specific sport you are playing as quality sports clothing is designed with a specific sport in mind. Designing a sports clothing item for one specific sport means that the clothing can boost your performance in that sport as all the features the clothing will possess will be engineerd with that sport in mind.
