Chief Princess Tracy Young
Tracy Young is President and self-proclaimed “Chief Princess” of A Little Indulgence. The company offers special occasion dresses to little and not so little girls via trunk shows, select bridal boutiques and her website.
The business came about when Tracy decided to leave her corporate career behind and focus on creating beautiful dresses for special occasions. While attending charity events, people commented on how adorably dressed her children were. When other mothers discovered that the dresses were Tracy’s creations, they starting asking if they were available for sale. Armed with a love for timeless elegance, Tracy created A Little Indulgence and sold her first dresses to other mothers at her daughters’ private school. Soon a website and more dresses were added to make it easier for busy moms to find the perfect dress for their daughters. Some girls needed flower girl dresses. Some girls needed communion dresses. Other girls needed dresses for summer parties. Sometimes girls needed accessories to go with the dresses, so Tracy, as Chief Princess, added shoes and hair accessories.
Along the way, people started asking her advice about fashion tips and children’s etiquette. A blog seemed like a wonderful way to share what she has learned about children’s special occasions. When a mother needed help for an upcoming wedding, she inspired Tracy to write “A Little Guide to Flower Girl Etiquette” to help little girls be flower girls. Another book is in the works that will help parents and girls prepare for a first communion. With so many special occasions, an entire series may ensue.
Many of the items at A Little Indulgence have come about from Tracy’s own experiences with her children. We hope that you will help us spread the word about A Little Indulgence, share this blog with others and let us know what you think.
