This weekend, I was in Saratoga Springs at the Enchanted Bridal Show. There were hundreds of brides each planning a wedding, looking for vendors and unique ideas for their special day. The best part of the show was at the end when they had the fashion show. I love fashion shows and A Little Indulgence was providing flower girl dresses for several girls ranging in age from barely 2 to 8 years of age. Every show is different but it’s always an opportunity to share all the wonderful fashion choices for little girls.
The first thing to keep in mind is timing. You’ll want to order the outfit 4 – 6 months before the event as little girls grow quickly and you don’t want the dress to be too small when the wedding arrives. In deciding upon styles, there are traditional flower girl dresses: sleeveless dresses in white with a colored sash. Then, there are classic flower girl dresses with a peter pan collar and sleeves. Similar to the traditional ones, they’re white dresses with a colored sash. While these two styles account for the majority of dress styles, there are so many more options available.
Consider flower girl dresses with a colored skirt. It’s an elegant way to be a little fashion forward. If you really want to go all out, consider embellishments. While you don’t want a miniature replica of the bridal gown (just my opinion) you can look for a flower girl dress with embellishments in keeping with the bridal gown. If pearls play a role in the bridal gown, consider our lil pearl medley dress or our pearl medley flower girl dress. Both have a medley of different size pearls along the neckline and the sash. If beading is the main embellishment on the bridal gown consider our bedazzled dress. You should be forewarned that your flower girls may never want to take our dresses off.

These dresses are some of the best that I have seen in my search. While being elegant but not too over the top they are the perfect little edition to any classic wedding. I can’t wait to have my flower girls wearing them for my wedding.
